Jamie Gamauf received his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May of 1993. In September of 1993, he began working for Richards / Johnson & Associates in Lasalle, IL. During this time, Jamie began working part-time at local area restaurants as a bartender. Eventually, he became a Line Cook at a local steak house and his love of restaurants really blossomed.
Looking to marry his love of restaurants with his love of architecture, Jamie began working for Aria Group Architects, Inc in Oak Park, IL in November of 1998. Aria Group is an award winning, restaurant and hospitality design firm. During this time, Jamie really honed his skills in hospitality design and was fortunate to work with some of the best restaurateurs in the country. Jamie was the Project Manager for numerous restaurant projects including Wildfire, Go Roma, Durty Nellie’s, Biaggi’s Italiano Ristorante and Blue Chip Casino.
This extensive hospitality background eventually sent Jamie to Bethesda, MD to work for Marriott International, arguably the best hotel company in the world. At Marriott, Jamie is responsible in overseeing the design and construction of full-service hotels throughout North America.
Jamie is an Illinois and Indiana licensed architect and a LEED Accredited Professional. He currently resides in Maryland with his wife Erica and two dogs, Angus and Roxy.
